I Love LA

We spent the weekend in Los Angeles for two marquee matchups: the USC Trojans taking on UCLA and the Chargers facing off agains the Pittsburgh Steelers.

We started our trip by driving from San Diego to Los Angeles on Saturday morning with a game day tradition - Chicken Minis at Chick-fil-A.

One of the highlights of attending a USC game is experiencing the rich game day traditions. Before the game, we joined thousands of fans at "Trojan Walk," to watch The Spirit of Troy play "Conquest".

No trip to a USC game is complete without indulging in the famous bacon-wrapped hot dogs sold by street vendors outside the stadium. The irresistible aroma of sizzling bacon and grilled onions filled the air, and we couldn't resist grabbing one after the game.

The next morning, we started our day with a delicious breakfast at the Serving Spoon in Inglewood. Known for its hearty Southern cuisine and friendly atmosphere, this spot was the perfect place to fuel up for another day of excitement. There were also several Steelers players having breakfast.

After breakfast, we made our way to SoFi Stadium. It was nothing short of spectacular. This state-of-the-art venue has truly redefined the experience of watching live sports. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by its modern design and impressive scale. The sleek, futuristic design is complemented by a stunning roof canopy that allows natural light to flood the stadium while providing comfort and protection from the elements. The open-air feel, combined with the covered seating, creates an ideal environment for enjoying a game.

The stadium's amenities are top-notch. Comfortable seating, ample legroom, and clear sightlines ensure that every fan has a great view of the action. The enormous 4K video board, which wraps around the entire stadium, provides crystal-clear replays and live game updates, enhancing the viewing experience.

While the stadium shines in many areas, the concessions were a bit of a letdown. Despite the variety of food and beverage options available, the quality was underwhelming. It was disappointing given the diverse food options in Los Angeles.

Overall, SoFi Stadium is amazing. The combination of innovative design, cutting-edge technology, and top-notch amenities makes it a premier destination. Best part of the day – the Chargers beat the Steelers.

We concluded our trip with breakfast at Jacks N Joe to celebrate Michelle's birthday.

An amazing gift - a Tatis jersey to add to the memories of our unforgettable weekend.
