Padres Fan Fest

A new season, a fresh start!

A few months before opening day, the Padres always open up Petco Park for Fan Fest to meet players, get autographs and tour the park. They also have a garage sale where you can buy game-used jerseys, signed balls, bats and other memorabilia.

I am so excited that one of my favorite broadcasters, Dick Enberg, is going to be calling the Padres games. We had front row seats to hear him speak along with Mark Grant and Mark Neely.

The autograph sessions with players is done in an orderly fashion. The players each sit in a different section and if you’d like to meet them, you just line up. Here is pitcher Clayton Richard and Manager Bud Black.

Next on our agenda was a tour of the Padres Clubhouse. We got to see the weight room, a glimpse into the manager’s office and locker room.

Before we left, I got my picture with Ted Leitner. He has been broadcasting Padres games for 30 seasons.

We had so much fun at Fan Fest and can’t wait for opening day!
